La Brugherata Agricultural Company is just 7km from the city of Bergamo and 13km from the Orio al Serio international airport. It opened at the end of the 1980s at the behest of the Bendinelli family, who still run it today. It has over 10 hectares of vineyards and 1 hectare of olive groves, whose fruits have always been processed following the motto "Art of Wine". In fact, at La Brugherata, a good wine is like a beautiful painting: both are processed with creativity, love and perseverance, a talented winemaker and painter united in their work by a conscientious mastery.
Over the years the commitment to qualitative research has entailed a constant strengthening and renewal of the company's vineyards. The result is symbolic wines of the territory, harmonious and caressing like the surrounding countryside, always managed with the utmost respect for nature and its characteristics. Among the most significant names we certainly remember the Moscato di Scanzo D.O.C.G. "Doge", emblem of the company (credit goes to the owner Paolo Bendinelli for the establishment of the Consortium for the Protection of Moscato di Scanzo and the obtaining of the DOCG). Another fine wine is the "Rosso di Alberico", obtained from a selection of Merlot grapes and so named in honour of the great Alberico da Rosciate, jurist, writer and ambassador who lived between the 13th and 14th centuries. To these two big names other wines are added from Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
The favourable exposure of the area and the resulting microclimate also allows for the cultivation of fruit trees, flowers and Mediterranean essences. These are part of a magnificent landscape that embraces the hills, an artificial lake and a rose garden with over 15,000 specimens. From the olive groves of La Brugherata comes a delicate and sweet extra virgin olive oil.
It is possible to book tours of the estate and tastings of local products, as well as purchase the wines produced directly from the winery or through the official website.
La Brugherata is also a spectacular location for events, the perfect setting for your perfect day among hills and vineyards.
