Azienda Agricola Biologica Cascinetto d’Agro

Description

Located in Almenno San Bartolomeo, just 9km from the centre of Bergamo and just down the road from Almenno’s renowned Romanesque churches.

Azienda Agricola Biologica Cascinetto d’Agro has been producing organic wines and jams since the early 90s, and officially certified as an organic producer since 2002. One of only four remaining raspberry growers in the area, not only does Cascinetto d’Agro produce delicious jams with this tiny red fruit but also with plums, cherries, blackcurrants, quince, blackberries, mulberries and elderberries.

Cascinetto d’Agro also produces three IGT wines, two red and one white. The Rosso Rovenis, Edoardo, is made from Marzemino grapes from Trentino, Rosso Campinetto is instead a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Incrocio Terzi while the white wine, Bianco di Beatrice, is a blend of Manzoni and Yellow Moscato grapes.

Named in Slow Food’s ‘Il Buon Paese’ book of local, artisan and organic producers since 2010.
