The slow passage of time, the gentle sound of water, the scents of flowering meadows, the taste of exquisite cheeses, the enveloping silence of the village, and the warmth of wood will frame your stay of peace and relaxation. During the “Erbe del Casaro” event, now in its 15th edition, we will immerse ourselves in the world of local cheeses and wild herbs. You will enjoy a walk through the meadows of the Upper Valley, guided by an expert who will take you on a journey to discover the secrets of wild herbs from meadows and mountain woods. You will learn which herbs are edible, which to avoid, and how to use them in cooking. During the excursion, you will collect everything needed to prepare a completely green, zero-kilometer aperitif. Afterward, with what you’ve gathered, you will participate in a cooking workshop. Aromatic pestos, fragrant herbal teas, and nutritious salads will be just some of the delights you will create using the fresh, genuine ingredients collected during the walk, along with some local products.
During your stay, you will also discover the history of the medieval village of Cornello dei Tasso and the Tasso family, renowned throughout Europe for their expertise in managing the postal system. At the end of the experience, you can choose to participate in other events from the “Erbe del Casaro” calendar and explore other villages in the Upper Brembana Valley on your own.
