The street enters at the corner of a tower house, overlooking Via Astino.
The initial path is gentle, but then, past Via del Celtro (from the dialect selter and the Latin ciltrum i.e., arch), it becomes narrow and a little steeper, until it turns into a paved staircase, which ends on a paved road that connects with Via Sudorno (a medieval place-name that refers to the worship of the god Saturn).
