A slow journey through ancient knowledge and authentic traditions. A two-day journey to discover how local herbs can become high quality beauty products, how flour is still obtained from an ancient mill and who wrote the history of the modern postal system. Overnight stay in an ancient local home in the heart of one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy, where you will find peace and tranquility in a place suspended in time.
COSA TI ASPETTA
The two-day experience will take you on a discovery of some of the excellence of the Val Brembana: a unique alchemical interweaving of flavors and knowledge. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the slow pace of mountain hamlets and discover their history by gaining firsthand experience of ancient and modern craftsmen among essential oils, ancient corn and entrepreneurial skills.
In this two-day event you will discover the history of the medieval village of Cornello dei Tasso and the Family that gave birth to the modern postal system, and then delve into the borderlands. Accompanied by a cultural facilitator you will discover what forged the lands of the upper Valle Brembana over the centuries.
And lastly, you will have the opportunity to embark on a journey about the history of corn, a fundamental ingredient for local food and tradition: from the drying kiln to the mill, we will discover how flour for polenta is made.
The exclusive overnight stay at La Tana del Tasso, in the heart of Cornello dei Tasso, will give you the chance to live in a timeless village, in an ancient local dwelling where modernity and tradition create an evocative atmosphere.
