WHAT YOU WILL DO:
you will walk the length and breadth of the site, you will recognise the individual services available to the inhabitants up to a worthy burial in the holy field where everything – from the funeral rite to the burial – was supported by the entrepreneur in a father-master balance. At the end, for those who wish, there is the possibility of safely reaching the Adda river and seeing it on the footbridge, reaching the Brianza bank with the cycle path and the Martesana canal.
you will be accompanied by a tour guide equipped with radio guides, who will make stops in the prominent points of the UNESCO site, helping you to recognise the individual buildings and their intended use.
WHAT AWAITS YOU:
You will feel surrounded by a site that has remained unchanged over time, a place where you can still breathe the soul of the nineteenth-century captains of industry, a village still inhabited by the descendants of the original inhabitants who were workers, employees and managers. The same ones who diligently crossed the threshold of the factory every day and who for this reason had the right to live in the towns houses or villas and to benefit from all the services made available to them (doctor, parish priest, schools, after-work, playgrounds), until finding a worthy burial in the corner of land where the Brembo and Adda rivers meet, in the shadow of the mausoleum of the Crespi family.
