Peace is found in the woods, and the shrine of Our Lady of the Caneve seems to confirm this.
The religious building dates back to the 14th century, although it was later profoundly modified in the 18th century.
Its notoriety, however, is due to the most famous of its pilgrims: the future Pope John XXIII in fact began going to this place as a child and maintained the habit of celebrating Mass here once a year even once he became Patriarch of Venice.
