For complete information, we invite you to read the terms and conditions set by the service provider for this experience:
– Our flights are scheduled to last about one hour (with a 15-minute margin either under or over). For safety reasons, the pilot has the absolute responsibility to decide the duration, conduct of the flight, and the time and place of landing. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the exact duration or the route the flight will take, as this cannot be predetermined.
– The ticket is transferable to a friend, upon written notification by email.
– In some cases, we may entrust the execution of our flights to other operators who hold a valid ENAC license. In this case, these Terms and Conditions will still apply.
– Aeronord Sas has insurance coverage for air carriers according to Regulation (EC) No. 785/2004 and Regulation (EU) No. 285/2010 for each passenger in the case of death and/or personal injury. In all cases, compensation is not due or is reduced if it is proven that the injured passenger is responsible for the damage or contributed to it through negligence, unlawful act, or omission. The right to compensation for damages expires after two years from the day of the flight.
– We are not responsible for any damage to cameras, video cameras, phones, glasses, or other items you bring on the flight.
– Before the flight, we will contact you the morning before the flight to confirm the weather, time, and departure location (sometimes it depends on wind direction).
Your obligations to us:
– If a predefined date is set, you can change your booking by calling us or sending an email up to 7 days before the flight if its on the weekend, and up to 5 days before the flight if its on a weekday.
– If you fail to respect the time frame to change your booking as outlined in point 15, or if you do not show up on time at the meeting point for the flight, you lose any right to use the ticket and will not receive any refund.
– If the flight date is defined or changed a few days before departure, once re-confirmed by us, if you cancel (even for health reasons) up to 2 days before the flight, you lose 50% of the ticket value in the case of an exclusive 2-person flight.
General Rules:
– The hot air balloon flight can be risky, just like any other sport, hobby, or activity. By purchasing a voucher or participating in a flight, you acknowledge and accept the risks. The flight will always be under the control and supervision of a pilot certified by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC), who will ensure the flight is as safe and pleasant as possible.
– We are not qualified to assess your health and whether you are fit to fly. However, for your safety and the safety of other passengers, you must ensure you are in good physical condition before participating in the flight.
You cannot fly:
– If you have disabilities or health conditions that are incompatible with flying in a hot air balloon or with altitude, especially: you should not suffer from any type of heart disease, bone defects, serious back issues, hearing compensation problems, or be pregnant.
– If you are unable to enter and exit the basket autonomously, or to step one leg over the parapet at a time and step back into the basket.
– If you cannot maintain the correct brace position during landing (bend your knees while holding onto the handles).
– If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
If in doubt, consult your doctor and provide us with a medical certificate stating that you are fit to fly in a hot air balloon. Its important to clarify any doubts regarding your health, as otherwise, it could impact your safety and the safety of other passengers.
– The pilot has the duty, as outlined in the Navigation Code, to exclude you from the flight if, in their opinion, you pose a safety risk to the flight or to other passengers, including yourself. In this case, you will not be entitled to any refund.
– Passengers must always comply with the instructions given by the pilot and team during the ascent.
