Set up in the Giovanelli Castle, a late 17th-century building that is an integral part of the medieval village of Luzzana, dince 2003, the Museum of Contemporary Art, with more than 220 works donated by master Alberto Meli, sculptor, and painter Ester Gaini Meli, his wife, pays tribute to the two artists whose work demonstrated a sincere attachment to the tradition of the places of their childhood.
Un fascinating journey: from the neoclassical sculptures of Giosuè Meli to the Dada works of Arp, Richter, Probst and Valenti, to the itinerary narrated by Alberto Meli and Ester Gaini with captivating messages that are still alive and relevant today.
The visit continues outdoors among art history and nature along the route of the diffuse museum, with a visit to the park of the Giant and the rock sculpture of the same name.
