Lake Endine is a small jewel with a perimeter of about 14 kilometers (14 miles), fed by rushing streams that flow down from the surrounding mountains.
Its natural environment has remained intact over time to such an extent that it has been classified as a “park” subject to protection by the Lombardy Region: so you can imagine what verdant scenery you will find once you arrive on the lake!
Reed beds, small beaches, meadows-a succession of enchanting places to visit on foot or by bicycle, not to miss a single one.
If you then move a few miles northeast, you’ll get a surprise: another body of water, tiny and beautiful, called Lake Gaiano.
In the summer you can enjoy sports such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and rowing, as well as fishing.
Curiosities When the lake froze over, until the 19th century it was traveled to reach the western shore from Monasterolo, through the narrowest point of the lake, towards Spinone.
