THE RESTAURANT
La Staletta is the place of tradition par excellence. Since 1973, when the current owner’s grandfather opened the restaurant on the ground floor of his house, the territory has been the king of this cozy venue with a beautiful terrace overlooking the green mountains of Val Brembana. The decor is rustic, with wooden tables, some exposed stone walls, a large bar counter at the entrance, and copper cauldrons hanging from the ceiling.
THE RESTAURATEUR
Since Claudio Rubis, the founder’s grandson, took over the kitchen, the challenge has been to tell the story of tradition and territory in an innovative way. The cuisine is an expression of the territory, not only through the raw materials used but also through their interpretation. A dish can provide a lot of information about the person who prepared it and their context. Behind every dish, there is a careful selection of the most authentic ingredients offered by the artisans and farmers of the valley.
