The company “La Collina” of Grumello del Monte boasts a 190-year-long history carried on by four generations. Wine is a deeply rooted culture in the DNA of Luigi Invernici, a winemaker and passionate enthusiast of working in the fields. He is supported by his daughter Sara, a true force of nature who divides her time between sales and looking toward the future.
In the fine bottles, we find a love for the vineyard and a passion for fieldwork. The wines reflect Luigi Invernici’s identity—they are never trivial, but rather balanced and elegant, while at the same time bold and austere. The company is always in pursuit of quality, without compromises, resulting in wines with a unique character.
The vineyards grow on the clay-limestone soils of the hilly area of San Pantaleone, with a prevalence of red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Schiava Bergamasca, along with Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, and Moscato Giallo.
“Testa Dura” is an innovative Bordeaux-style blend, produced in a limited edition, made from the best selection of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested late and left to partially dry on the vine.
“Rossa Passione” is the best-selling Bordeaux blend of the winery, aged between 24 to 36 months in oak barrels.
“Bruno Rosso” is a tribute to Luigi’s father Bruno, the third generation, who passed down the passion for rural life and the art of winemaking to Luigi, while “Podere 1798” is a 100% Merlot red.
“Biancospino” is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, aged exclusively in steel tanks, preserving all its freshness and minerality.
“Primula Gialla” is made from pure Moscato Giallo vinified dry, while “Podere 1798 Bianco” is a blend of grapes from the Grumello del Monte lands.
On Sundays, the winery is open by appointment only.
