The Magnificent 4

Journey through the most beautiful villages in Italy

As many as 4 of Italy's most beautiful villages are located in Bergamo.
Camerata Cornello in Val Brembana, Gromo and Clusone in Val Seriana and Lovere, overlooking Lake Iseo hold the prestigious label of Borghi più belli d'Italia, which identifies places of outstanding historical and artistic value.

Lovere

Nestled between lake and mountain, Lovere catches the eye with its elegant buildings reflected in the lake’s placid waters.
Awaiting you is the fine art collection of theTadini Academy.
The scenery is enlivened by the bustling marina with its beautiful lakeside promenade.

Camerata Cornello

Also called Cornello dei Tasso, it is a rural hamlet where time does not flow.
An architectural gem, reachable only on foot, home of the Tasso family, progenitors of the first postal service that placed Cornello at the center of Europe.

Gromo

Etched in stone and metal, the history of this charming village is told in the unique slate slab roofs and the iron and white-weapon work that earned it the reputation in the Middle Ages as ‘little Toledo’

Clusone

Nestled on a plateau, it expresses its charm in the details: an astonishing cycle of frescoes known as Danza Macabra that has adorned the Oratorio dei Disciplini since 1485, Pietro Fanzago’s complex Planetary Clock that has punctuated village life since 1583 and is a symbol of the discreet and unchanging beauty of this town.
