The traditional Easter Monday concert of the 44th Art and Early Music Festival is this year dedicated to Maestro Roberto Balconi of the Fantazyas ensemble: “Mors et vita,” a musical tribute.
A year after his last concert for the last Art and Early Music Festival at San Bernardino Church in Lallio, his musician friends and the association wish to remember him a few months after his painful passing.
On the evening’s program is music by J.S. Bach (including excerpts from the Passion according to John and according to Matthew) and Hoffmann (BWV 53).
Performers: Marta Fumagalli (mezzo soprano), Barbara Altobello, Marco Nocera (violins), Giulia Panzeri (viola), Catherine Jones (cello), Silvia De Rosso (viola da gamba), Daniele Rocchi (harpsichord).
It all takes place in the beautiful setting of the church of San Bernardino, where music happily blends with art and the intimate and spiritually recollecting atmosphere of this enveloping environment.
