Arte del Pizzico is organizing “Musica Antica in Castello,” a series of concerts celebrating early music through the performance of historical works and the use of plucked instruments. – March 22 – Musica Picta: This concert is dedicated to the plucked instruments of Evaristo Baschenis, a seventeenth-century composer and painter. The performance will explore the use of historical instruments such as the lute and baroque guitar, creating an atmosphere full of emotion and refinement typical of the music of the period.
-April 12 – Il Ballo: A selection of suites, partitas, arias and caprices by Lombard composers will create a dynamic and lively performance. The program will focus on Baroque dances and styles typical of the Lombard musical tradition, offering a taste of elegance and movement typical of the 17th century.
May -3-The Basso Continuo: The concert will explore the role of grave instruments in the basso continuo, a fundamental feature of Baroque music. The basso continuo, performed by instruments such as the harpsichord and cello, will create a rich and deep harmonic foundation, uniting the other instruments in a complete and engaging sonic experience.
-May 17, 9 p.m.-For Every Sort of Musical Instrument: The final concert of the festival will offer an overview of the different sounds of ancient musical instruments. The performance will bring together various historical instruments, creating a unique harmony that will highlight the beauty and variety of musical traditions of the past.
