In the exhibition: from Alberto Burri to Claire Fontaine, from Anselm Kiefer to Lawrence Abu Hamdan, from Joseph Beuys, Marina Abramović to Cristina Lucas and Laura Poitras, from Andrea Gastaldi to Boris Mikhailov and Arcangelo Sassolino, passing through Monira Al Qadiri, Mohamed Choucair, Total Refusal and many others, including historical works. A span of about 6 centuries that can evoke the moods that conflicts have always provoked.

“DE BELLO Notes on War and Peace” is the first group exhibition of stoneware art 671: it talks about war, humanity, peoples and emotions, history and current events, advocating the urgency of peace.

“DE BELLO” is a journey through installations, paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, textile works, and video games by more than 30 artists different in generation, origin, and medium of expression, who have in common that they have experienced or live the war every day up close.

The itinerary explores various feelings and transformations related to conflicts: from the illusion of peace to the alarm of confrontation to resistance, ruins and consequences, restoring emotions and points of view. A look across geographies and historical eras. From the modern age to the Risorgimento uprisings to Ukraine, from the Middle East to South America. An invitation to reflect on how the war experience shapes humanity’s sense of belonging and perceptions.
