WHAT YOU’LL DO
– A two-hour walk in a stunning natural context, steeped in history.
WHAT AWAITS YOU:
The Ministry of Culture’s National Landscape Award was awarded in 2021 to the Astino Valley, Biodiversity within the city: the Val d’Astino of Bergamo. This corner of Bergamo will thus be able to compete for the European Landscape Award, announced by the European Council.
A circle route walk in the valley will allow you to experience the natural aspects, the historical presences such as the church of S. Sepolcro, the adjoining former Vallombrosani monastery wisely restored, the farmhouses in a typical agricultural environment and the section of the Lorenzo Rota botanical garden where biodiversity is cultivated.
An easy walk suitable for all ages, very enjoyable in every season, which allows you to get in tune with a harmonious landscape, to savour the colours and scents that mark the succession of the seasons with the flowering of flax, fruit trees, grapevines and the forest.
