The “La Via delle Sorelle” Trail and the“Bergamo Brescia Cultural Ciclovia” are the legacies of Bergamo and Brescia’s nomination as Italian Capital of Culture in 2023.
Two grandiose projects, a symbol of union of the two capital cities. Two routes for walking and biking to discover the area in a sustainable way.
Both itineraries are bidirectional and start from iconic places in the two cities: the Venetian Walls in Bergamo and the Santa Giulia Complex in Brescia.
Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Camino La Via delle Sorelle, is divided into 6 stages to be done on foot; the Bergamo Brescia Cultural Ciclovia is 170 km long between main route and secondary loops.
Both routes take you on a moving adventure between nature and culture!
You can proceed starting from Bergamo to Brescia or the other way, from Brescia to Bergamo.
Along the way you will appreciate the cultural and natural heritage of the area in a sustainable mode. Two imperatives will accompany you: proceed slowly and enjoy every glimpse. You will discover that some art installations have been laid along the way that embellish the experience.
The Bergamo Brescia Cultural Ciclovia is a 170-km bicycle route that links the two cities with a 76-km direct route and an additional 70 km of loops that wind through historic centers, villages, and cultural sites.
In some areas, the route splits into 13 additional loops to the main section, to which are added some tourist routes to explore on foot, in historic centers or in natural areas, for a total of an additional 8 km.
Theroute is within everyone’s reach and combines a love of two wheels, sport and slow tourism.
