The Via Priula Brewery stands out from others because of its strong connection to its host territory: the Brembana Valley. In fact, the Via Priula is the ancient trade road, built in the 16th century at the behest of Alvise Priuli, that connected the Bergamasque territory with the province of Sondrio.
The road, which can still be traveled today, was of considerable strategic and economic importance: in fact, it allowed the Republic of Venice to expand its trade northward without having to pass through the territories of the Duchy of Milan, thus avoiding the payment of huge duties.
As well as the name of the brewery, the beers, with their styles and labels, tell us, in small sips, a little piece of local history.
Attention to the local area is also emphasized in the choice of raw materials: everything used to flavor the beers is grown by Brembana Valley farms. Among these products we have: saffron, small fruits and herbs.
