The Via Priula Brewery stands out from others due to its strong connection with the territory it calls home: the Brembana Valley. The Via Priula is the ancient trade route, built in the 16th century at the request of Alvise Priuli, which connected the Bergamasco area with the province of Sondrio.
The road, still passable today, was of significant strategic and economic importance. It allowed the Republic of Venice to expand its trade northward without passing through the territories of the Duchy of Milan, thus avoiding paying heavy tolls.
Just like the name of the brewery, the beers, with their styles and labels, tell us a little piece of local history with every sip.
The brewery also emphasizes its connection to the region in the choice of raw materials. Everything used to flavor the beers is grown by farms in the Brembana Valley. These products include saffron, small fruits, and aromatic herbs.
