Bergamasca IGT Rosé

Description

Bergamo’s wine production is not limited to Denominations of Origin, but also includes a Typical Geographical Indication: the Bergamasca.
Specifically, there are rows of vines extending for some seventy kilometers from the Adda River to Lake Iseo, as well as hilly areas such as the Cavallina Valley, the lower Camonica Valley from Lovere to Rogno, the western shore of Lake Iseo, the Seriana Valley and the Brembana Valley, all, of course, Bergamasque territories.

Bergamasca IGT rosé wine must consist of at least 85 percent of vines authorized for the province of Bergamo, and the regulations govern the various stages of production including the minimum alcohol content of 10°.
The coloring of this wine is cherry, and suggested pairings are pasta or lightly textured cheeses.

Curiosities

The Consorzio di Tutela del Valcalepio guarantees its quality and enhances its excellence with its trademark. As its emblem, the Valcalepio Consortium has chosen the effigy of the famous condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni.
