AGIAT (Associazione Guide Interpreti e Accompagnatori Turistici) was founded in 1993, within the Bergamo Archaeological Group (founded in 1973), one of the first cultural associations in the city with an informative and cultural character.
We are a group of tour guides-all licensed to practice our profession-different in background and education but all united by our love and studies for our beautiful city and our desire to tell its story, to make it known for its curiosities, history and traditions.
Bergamo is truly a surprise for the tourists who come to visit because of its many facets.
It fills us with joy and pride to illustrate a city where time has stood still, where the tastes and architectural styles of past centuries are here to speak to us even today of a different, less hectic, more human-scale life.
The association offers a wide choice of itineraries for adults, schoolchildren, groups and individuals, in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Swedish.
Thanks to our extensive knowledge of the area and long experience, each tour can be agreed upon according to visitors’ requests, needs and specific interests.
We offer general or thematic itineraries, mystery tours, nature tours, archaeological tours, religious tours (such as visiting the sites of Pope John XXIII).
Challenge us and allow us to take you on a discovery of this wonderful city and its Province.
