The Restaurant
True to its name, words are not enough to describe the sensations you experience while admiring the expansive view of the lake and the surrounding Pre-Alps from this balcony. Opened in 1965 by newlyweds Rosa Bena and Battista Bertoletti, it began as a trattoria and is now a high-level restaurant. The dining room is expertly managed by Monica Bertoletti, who speaks five languages.
Attention to the environment and well-being has always been at the core of the business: all herbs and salads come from the restaurant’s own garden, there is a 20 kW solar power production, accessibility for disabled guests, careful consideration for recyclable and biodegradable materials, and constant water recovery — with 3 tanks (10,000 liters) used for watering the park and external cleaning.
Here, the goal is to minimize environmental impact.
The Restaurateur
Giuseppe Bertoletti
Giuseppe Bertoletti was born in Bergamo and personally built the Panoramico Restaurant along with his father. His training includes the Clusone Hotel Institute and the Darfo Boario Technical Commercial Institute, as well as numerous cooking experiences in Paris and Miami. Upon returning, he started several establishments in the Bergamo province and dedicated himself to the “Ristorante Panoramico,” overseeing the complete renovation of the hotel, restaurant, and wellness area. In the kitchen, his mother ensures everything is done excellently, especially the homemade pasta. The team in the kitchen also includes 8 specialized chefs, including a second chef from Sicily and one from Sardinia, who contribute to the attention given to seafood dishes, including raw ones.
