Bridge in the Sun of Dossena

The world’s longest Tibetan discontinuous tread bridge without side ties

Description

Only 1 hour away from Milan Bergamo airport and 50 minutes from the city center of Bergamo, you can find an unprecedented and breathtaking viewpoint over Dossena and the Serina Valley.
It is a 505-meter-long, single-span footbridge built with 1200 treads and steel ropes that keep it suspended at incredible heights (up to 120 m above the ground).

The Sun Bridge begins at the former Roccolo Corna Bianca shooting area and is reached on foot from the village of Dossena by a trail.
After an educational introduction to the experience, well harnessed and supervised by local experts, you can begin the adventurous crossing with your friends or family.
The bridge is an aerial version of part of the route of the ancient Via Mercatorum, lost after the provincial road connecting Dossena to Serina was built.
As you walk across it you will enjoy a unique view of the landscapes of the Orobic Pre-Alps, you will be able to look out over the San Pellegrino valley floor in the setting of the Grigna, Gioco and Alben mountains.

An unprecedented and breathtaking viewpoint dedicated to all mountain and thrill-seekers.
