The building that housed the Belvedere Restaurant and has now been converted to residential use was designed by Virginio Muzio.
The architect, who was engaged in numerous interventions in the city, had the opportunity here to use elegant Art Nouveau forms, which were well suited to the function and place of entertainment.
In keeping with the principle of harmonizing architecture and nature, Muzio modified a pre-existing building and chose an unusual form that perfectly matches its intended use and surroundings.
Two low buildings, above which he made two terraces joined by the entrance courtyard, which also overlooks the panorama that opens to the hills.
The wrought iron arch that welcomed guests, with its lightness and elegance, is one of the most beautiful ironwork in the city.
