Villa Bracciano

Unmistakable is its turret.
Stop to observe all the details of the decoration and read the motto on its facade.

Description

Located at the crossroads of Via Statuto and Via Nullo, Villa Bracciano was among the first elegant homes that sprang up in the early 20th century in the residential neighborhood of S. Lucia.
It was in fact built around 1906 to a design by architect Luigi Bergonzo (father of Alziro Bergonzo, also an important architect from Bergamo).
The corner turret and its decorations still attract the attention of passers-by, who are invited to observe its details.
Under the eaves of the roof a band frescoed with floral motifs runs around the entire perimeter of the house.
Lesenes, floral motifs and neocentury putti surround the windows in a continuous composition.
You may have noticed the inscription “labor omnia vincit,” taken from Virgil’s Georgics.
