The two-day experience is dedicated to the current and past life stories of those who have made the Valle Brembana famous throughout Europe and the world. A Valley defined as the Valley of Cheeses for its important cheese PDOs, it can boast of having been the cradle of numerous artists, characters and humble artisans who have made it famous beyond the borders, such as the Tasso Family, Harlequin or the Baschenis.
In this two-day event you will discover the history of these people and those who, even today, live in these lands trying to give life to products and experiences of excellence. The exclusive overnight stay at La Tana del Tasso, in the heart of Cornello dei Tasso, will give you the opportunity to live in a timeless village, in an ancient local dwelling where modernity and tradition create an evocative atmosphere.
WHAT’S IN STORE FOR YOU
DAY 1.
Approximately 3 p.m. Arrival at the medieval village of Cornello dei Tasso, luggage deposit at the Tana del Tasso.
3:30 pm Guided tour of the village of Cornello dei Tasso and the Museum of Badgers and Postal History (duration: 1.30h). Followed by the possibility of climbing the bell tower (extra fee).
5 p.m. Check-in and guided tour of La Tana del Tasso with welcome drink
Dinner in local restaurant
Overnight stay.
DAY 2
breakfast
08:30 am Independent transfer to Olmo al Brembo (about 10 km from Cornello dei Tasso) to the MondoAsino farm, a sustainable donkey farm in mountainous terrain.
08:45 Start of the visit. You will observe the process of milking donkeys for high-quality donkey milk and get to know these lovely animals up close, discovering all their secrets and characteristics. Afterwards you will taste a glass of their delicious milk and also visit the workshops where donkey milk is processed and used in cosmetics and food products. In closing you will have the opportunity to learn about (and purchase) the Company’s valuable beauty and food products. (Duration about 1h30).
End of experience about 10.30/11.00 am.
Followed by possibility of picnic lunch and visit to the village of Ornica, about 8 km from Olmo al Brembo (see extra fees)
